Welia Health Emergency Medical Services will lead a Mock Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) drill on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The training exercise will primarily take place at Ogilvie Raceway, with some activities extending to Welia Health Mora Campus.
The drill will simulate a school bus crash scenario with multiple patients, providing critical hands-on training for emergency responders. This collaborative exercise will involve several first responder agencies and county resources working together to practice emergency protocols and improve coordination during large-scale incidents.
These training exercises are essential for ensuring emergency response teams are prepared to handle real-world mass casualty situations effectively. Regular drills strengthen the community’s emergency preparedness and response capabilities while allowing agencies to identify areas for improvement in their coordination and communication protocols.
The public should be aware that there will be increased emergency vehicle activity in the area during the exercise. This is only a drill, and regular emergency services will remain fully operational throughout the training.
