Hinckley Clinic to Reopen July 6

June 25, 2020  /   Coronavirus, Press Releases  /   4-minute read

Keeping you safe while providing access to healthcare services

Welia Health staff has begun preparations to reopen its clinic in Hinckley. The clinic is anticipated to reopen Monday, July 6. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 320.384.6189.

At the beginning of March, clinic services were temporarily suspended due to a significant decrease in patient visits and to conserve PPE resources and costs. Hinckley patients were asked to reschedule in Pine City and Mora.

“We are extremely grateful for our patients who utilized our other locations over the past couple of months. The decision was difficult and inconvenient for our patients and families, yet helped us keep everyone safe,” comments Randy Ulseth Welia Health CEO. “We are all excited to return to what we’ve coined as our new normal.”

Non-respiratory care only

To continue to provide all patients with safe and accessible care, Welia Health Hinckley will reopen as a non-respiratory care location. This location will be exclusively for patients who demonstrate no COVID-19 symptoms. We will continue to see all non-urgent respiratory patients at our clinics in Pine City and Mora, and through virtual care visits. Using guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health, walk-in appointments in Hinckley are also not permitted at this time.

Screening

Prior to your appointment and will be asked several questions to determine if you are experiencing any concerning COVID-19 like symptoms. Separate instructions are given to those experiencing symptoms.

If you become ill before your appointment, please call 320.679.1313 for further guidance.

Remember, if you are experiencing a medical emergency, dial 9-1-1.

Please allow a couple extra minutes before your appointment as you will be screened again for any concerning COVID-19 like symptoms.

Masks

Welia Health requires all patients to wear masks while in our facilities. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you. The masks are reusable and yours to keep. See instructions about how to care for your homemade mask.

Please always wear your mask unless asked to remove it by your provider / nurse team.

Waiting room

We have reconfigured our waiting room to ensure appropriate physical distancing.

Check-in process and registration

Upon check-in, you will notice our registration staff are now behind clear acrylic barriers to ensure appropriate distancing recommendations. Please respect the space between you and them.

You will also notice tape on the floors indicating the physical distance guidelines we are using to keep you safe.
For any paperwork that needs to be signed, patient registration staff will manage pens.
